Australia Zoo was first opened in 1973 by Bob & Lyn Irwin originating from Bob and Lyn's passion for Australian fauna. The Park has grown over the years from a small collection, to over 1.000 animals on 140 acres and is  recognised Internationally.

The aim at the park is to create an Exciting, Informative and Educational family adventure for all guests.

Daily demonstrations take on a whole new dimension when the keepers actually interact with the wildlife, from giant Snakes to hungry Crocodiles. Whether you would like to see the Otters catching their own fish, or meet Koalas up close and personal, plan on spending the entire day to experience all the full-on action and adventure !

Today, Terri Irwin and family  "TV's Crocodile Hunters" continue the family tradition, managing this Sunshine Coast's Tourism Award Winning Park along with their staff and volunteers.
Learning more about our wildlife will ultimately help conserve them in the wild.
